What is Windows 10 LTSC and who is it for?
LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) is the enterprise edition of Windows 10 built for devices that need maximum stability with no feature updates. It does not include the Microsoft Store, Cortana or pre-installed apps. It only receives security patches.
LTSC is the go-to choice for point-of-sale terminals, kiosks, medical equipment, industrial systems and any environment where an unexpected update could break something. The IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 version has extended support until January 2032, making it the longest-supported Windows 10 edition available.

Can I upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for free?
Yes. With a genuine Windows 10 licence you can upgrade to Windows 11 for free via Windows Update, as long as your hardware meets the minimum requirements (TPM 2.0, compatible processor). If your hardware does not qualify, you can keep using Windows 10 without any issues.
When does Windows 10 support end?
Microsoft ends support for standard editions (Pro) on 14 October 2025. However, LTSC versions have extended support: LTSC 2019 until January 2029 and IoT LTSC 2021 until January 2032. Microsoft also offers a paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) programme for those who want to keep receiving patches after October 2025.
Are these licences legal?
Yes. What is the difference between a Retail (FPP) and an OEM licence?
Retail / FPP licences (such as our standard Windows 10 Pro) are transferable: you can deactivate it on one PC and activate it on another. OEM licences are tied to the hardware they are first installed on and cannot be transferred. Both are perpetual and never expire.
Does Windows 10 work well on older computers?
